• There are two types of cast, ceramic and fiber glass.

• The ceramic/plaster one is for more serious cases, the fiber-glass one is for less serious cases.

• The ceramics I believe is more stiff than the plastic one.

• Stiffness the critical requirement of the cast.

• The TA spiucles increase stiffness while decreasing mass.

• Thus the idea is to create a 3D printed cast, which has a truss architecture, where the structs in the truss structure are modeled are designed using the engineering priciples we learnt by studying the TA spicules, and other marine skeleton appendeges.
